She was predeceased by: her parents, W. Chester White and Ruby Gray White; and her sisters, Jeanette Jones, Sherry Cheatham and Judith Cobb.
She is survived by: her husband J. Ray Kornegay; her sons, Craig Kornegay (Sarah) and Brad Kornegay (Julie) of Carolina Beach, NC; her granddaughters, Jenna, Katie, Linnae and Bethany Kornegay; and her in-laws, Theresa, Don Pittman of Wilson, NC, Ellen, Bill Therrell of Goldsboro, NC, Douglas Kornegay, Larry Kornegay, Roger Kornegay (Carolyn) of Goldsboro, NC, Calvin Cobb of Windsor, NC and Mike Cheatham of Whitmire, SC.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
