He is survived by: his wife Kristi Whitfield Propst; his son Matthew Taylor Propst of Greenville; his parents, Alvin Ray Propst, Sr. (Linda) of Morganton and Mary Kay Greene of Valdese, NC; his brother Paul Daniel Propst (Sara) of Rhodhiss, NC; his cousin Travis Poarch (Honorary Brother) of Connelly Springs; his sisters, Pattie Locke (Daniel) of Swansboro and Megan Shoaf (David) of New Bern; his nephews, Brady and Jack; his niece Brooklyn; and his parent-in-law Ottis Whitfield, Jr. (Lois).
