He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Grissom and Robbie Grissom; and his siblings, Emma G. Williamson (Leroy), John Grissom, Daniel Brown, William Ward, Frances N. Tyson (James), Calvin Neely and Isaac Neely (Dianne).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Neely Grissom; his daughter Marice G. Freeman (Charles); his sisters, Florine G. Brown and Betty G. Ward; his siblings-in-law, Barbara Bayne, Esther Grissom, Alvin Neely (Gail), Cynthia Neely English and Margie Neely; and his grandchildren, Chariece F. Miller, Christine Freeman and Charles Freeman III. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, colleagues, and friends.
