He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles D. Brown and Nell Fillin Brown; his brothers, Michael and Victor Brown; and his brother-in-law Michael Hartman.
He is survived by: his wife Allison Ring Brown; his children, Lindsay, Kevin and Kasey; his siblings, Teresa Hartman, Sharon Watson, Charlene McClements (Walter), Rosemary Hibbits (Bill), Matthew Brown (Rosario), Brian Brown (Jen), Jan Shouse (Tim) and James Brown (Angelica); his mother-in-law Betty Cox; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Ring (Jen), John Ring (Kimberly) and Jennifer Bryant (Tommy). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
