He was predeceased by: his parents, Morse Ney and Nellie Ney. He is survived by: his siblings, Bob, George, Janet and Natalie; his wife Loretta Ney; his children, David (Carolyn) of South Euclid, OH, Janet Williams of Winston-Salem, NC and Richard (Julie) of Winston-Salem, NC; his grandchildren, April, Gus (Kaitlyn), Abigail, Olivia (Jacob), Reese and Cooper; and his great grandchildren, Amelia, Gabriella and Cloud.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Forsyth Humane Society 4881 Country Club Rd., Winston Salem, NC 27104.
