He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther McKoy and Vina McKoy; his wife Rosie Mae McKoy; his brothers, Pete McKoy, Luther McKoy and Eddie McKoy; his children, Abra Allen and Kathy Allen; his grandson Shawnta Staggers; his son-in-law Byron Robinson; and his brother-in-law Johnny Williams.
He is survived by: his children, Johnny "Mot" Staggers (Sandra), Mildred Staggers, Pamela McKoy, Myra McCollum (Theodore), Shannon McKoy and Bijon McKoy; his godson Henry Brown; his siblings, Mary Spaulding (Clarence), Isabelle Williams, Adde Dukes, Dorothy Purnell (Clarence), Joyce Beaty (Gerald), Venora Lewis (L. V.), Lee McKoy (Carolyn) and Reverend Earl McKoy; and his grandchildren, Monte Summers, Tahji Allen (Sha'Von), Shayla Robinson, Shanika Levons (John), Corey, Lasea Lindsay, Shannon M. McKoy, Latia Allen, Kayla Staggers, Zyon McCollum, Omni McCollum and Sydney Stevenson. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
