He was predeceased by: his mother Hazel McClain; his grandparents, Alexander and Vivian McClain; his brothers, Carl, Earl Collins and Brent Morris; and his son-in-law David Saunders.
He is survived by: his wife Joanette Pete McClain; his children, Wilhelmenina "Princess" Saunders of Winston-Salem, NC, Talitha and Roderick James (Delece) of Los Angeles, CA; and his sisters, Anna Reid of Winston-Salem, NC, Joan Haywood and Rena Morris of Detroit, MI. He is also survived by seven grandsons and five granddaughters; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
