With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Marion Golden in Winston Salem, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 13, 2025 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Golden and Grace Kershaw Golden; and his daughter Meg Golden. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Gibbs Golden; his son Craig Golden (Mary Gayle); his siblings, Douglas Golden, Dean Golden, Van Golden, Martha Watts and Mary Rickman; his grandchildren, Emma Golden, Ava Golden, Olivia Golden and Claire Golden; and his niece Greita Gibbs.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Elkin Valley Baptist Church (118 N Elkin Dr, Elkin, NC 28621). Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In place of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to Samaritan Purse for Western North Carolina victims.
