William Lyman Orr Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2024, at the age of 68, William Lyman Orr of Winston Salem, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn Huie Orr and Eloise Bassett Orr; and his brother Lynn Huie Orr Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Martha Spracklin Orr; his sons, Michael V. Orr (Melissa) of Clemmons, NC, David L. Orr of Raleigh, NC and John A. Orr of Winston-Salem, NC; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Kate Orr and Charlotte Ann Orr of Clemmons, NC; and his siblings, Eloise Orr Bourgeois (Wayne) of Metairie, LA and Wayne K Orr (Martha) of Kenner, LA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (520 Summit St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Paul's Episcopal Church; Old Hickory Council, Scouting America; or to the Second Harvest Food Bank of NWNC.
