He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Cain Jr. and Mary Owens Cain; his grandparents, Jessie Williams and William Henry Cain, Sr.; and his siblings, Randell Cain, Sr., Norma Cain Jones and Gloria Cain King.

He is survived by: his daughters, Tashika Lopez Russell (Travis) and Lisa Lopez Alameda (Edwin); his siblings, Ruby O. Cain of Winston Salem, NC, Margaret Cain Bailey (Johnnie) of Greensboro, NC and Malcolm E. Cain (Carolyn) of Catonsville, MD.; his grandson Trevon Jones; his siblings-in-law, Sharon Cain and Willie King; his aunts, Hattie Jeter, Mary Shields of Winston Salem and Hazel Lyerly of Philadelphia, PA; his friend Vicki Gordon; and his nieces and nephews, Tonjua King, Tawanna King (Payton), Kimberly Barr (Anthony), Leia Cain Cooper (Briama), Ashleigh Cain Foltz (Eric), Gregory Cain, Christopher Bailey (Tammie), Michael Jones, Randell Cain, Jr. (Cynthia), Mark Bailey and Phillip Bailey. He is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
