He was predeceased by: his parents, John Forrest and Lucy Culler Forrest; his son Chris Forrest; and his siblings, Lona Reynolds, Barbara Goad, Mary Hicks, Mac Forrest, Aldy Forrest, Lee Forrest, Will Forrest, Joe Forrest, Richard Forrest, Ethel Forrest, Ruby Forrest, Nina Forrest and Frank Forrest.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Harp Forrest; his children, Cherri Forrest, Sherry Brimmer (John) and Elaine O'Shields (Bryan); his daughter-in-law Judy Forrest; his grandchildren, Alex "Little Red" O'Shields, Ed "Big Ed" O'Shields (Hannah), Megan Smith and Trent Isaacs; his great grandchildren, Nichole Craddock and Bryson O'Shields; and his brother Junior Forrest.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Stanleyville.
