He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Hoffman and Agnes Banta Van Hoven; and his siblings, Alfred Van Hoven and Jean Mosall. He is survived by: his wife Jane Higgins Van Hoven; his daughter Laura Erdman (Don); his grandchildren, Claire Erdman (Erio) and Daniel Erdman (Adrien); and his great grandchild Rosa Erdman.
