He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Edward Bennett and Lucy Bertie Reeves Bennett; his sons, Greg Bennett and Jeffrey Neal Bennett; and his sisters, Opal Landingham, Vivian Darr and Lois Wofford.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Billings Bennett; his son Steve Bennett (Debbie); his grandchildren, Stefanie Lyons (Ricky), Jeff Bennett, Audrey Stewart, Will Bennett and Ally Bennett; and his sister Wilma McDaniel. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
