She was predeceased by: her parents, Davis Jackson Taylor and Mamie Elizabeth Knight Taylor; her husband Russell Estes Watjen; and her siblings, Jerry Taylor, Helen T. Hill and Betty T. Wade.
She is survived by: her brother Rex June "JD" Taylor; her children, Anthony Van Turner, William B. Newsom, III, Sharon T. Jenkins, Virginia Elizabeth Newsom and Tyger; and also Bill Jenkins.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at 5696 Old Walkertown Rd, Walkertown, NC 27051.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 377 Hospital Street #103, Mocksville, NC 27028.
