He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Lee Griffin and Alice Styers Griffin; his former wife Valeria Puckett Griffin; his son Bradley Griffin; and his stepfather Nathan Ashner.

He is survived by: his wife Nancy Carter Griffin; his daughter Judi Griffin; his granddaughter Laurel Griffin; his sons, Todd Carter (Kelly), Terry Carter and Tim Carter (Christy); his grandchildren, Mikki Smith (Mills), Trent Carter, Jarod Carter and Madison Carter; and his great grandchild Bryce Smith.

Memorials may be made to the Adventurers Sunday School Class, First Baptist Church of Stanleyville, 851 Ziglar Road NC, 27105.
