She was predeceased by: her parents, Claud Childress and Rosie Bell Williams Childress; her spouse Fidus Gray Simpson, Jr.; and her son Fidus Gray Simpson, III. She is survived by: her daughter Suzanne Simpson (Barbara Burgess); her adoptive daughters, Dawn Simpson and Teresa Stephens; and her pets, Emma, Caleb, Paisley and Trooper.
