She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Aleene Skeen Horney and Stephen Grillette Horney. She is survived by: her daughters, Jennifer "Jenny" Layman Hulse (Jamie) of Charlotte and Lisa Layman Burchette of Winston-Salem; her grandson Jacob "Jake" Burchette; and her pet Simon.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Salem Funeral Home (2951 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Floral Garden Park Cemetery (1730 W English Rd, High Point, NC 27262).
