He was predeceased by: his mother Elizabeth N. Miller (Jack); his wife Ann Bowles Miller; and his daughter Lucy Miller Carr. He is survived by: his son Stuart N. Miller, Jr. of Lewisville, NC; his brother Charles W. Miller of Winston-Salem; and his grandchildren, Carolina W. Miller, Christopher E. Miller of Charlotte, NC and Patricia Ann "Annie" Carr of Charleston, SC..
