He is survived by: his wife Paula Swain Hinkle; his children, Chris Hinkle (Marie) of Florida, Kemp Smith (Brittany) of Linwood, Stan Smith (Katie) of Winston-Salem and Ashley Dembowski (Alex) of Charlotte; his brothers, Farrell Hinkle (Ruth Ann) of Welcome and Gary Hinkle of Winston-Salem; and his grandchildren, Ryan Dembowski, Kaitlyn Dembowski, Serena Hinkle, Evan Hinkle, Chloe Hinkle, Kensley Smith, Hayden Smith, Adalyn Peele, Lola Smith, Sadie Smith and Stryker Smith.
