He was predeceased by: his father Geno Henry Barber. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Barber; his mother Emma Crawford of Winston-Salem; his son Antwion Covert (Tasha) of Winston-Salem; his niece Dr. Chelsea Cromartie (Terence) of Greensboro; his siblings, Thomas "Reggie" Crawford (Tammy) of Winston-Salem, Christopher "Lump" Barber (Veronica) of Winston-Salem, Joy "Malissa" Barber of Winston-Salem, Deborah "Deb" Lybrand of Winston-Salem and Stacy Anderson (Neil) of New York; his grandchildren, Destiny Covert, Desirae Covert and Kiwion Covert; his great grandchildren, Armanie Santamaria and Armayah Santamaria; and his great-niece Sakina Cromartie-Walker. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins.
