He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Fishel and Mertie Fishel; his wife Ginger Smith Fishel; his son Greg Fishel; and his siblings, Patty Rae, Peggy, Virginia, Juanita, Roger and Wilburn Fishel.

He is survived by: his granddaughter Sara Fishel of Emerald Isle; and his son Chris Jenson (Mette).
