With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Shirley Dunlap in Winston Salem, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 20, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Reverend Coy N. Williams and Amy Wright Williams; her stepfather Walter R. Penn; her brother James Willie Penn; her husband Marvin Kenneth Dunlap; her friends, Julia Kellum, Cornelia Forbes and Wilma Wade; her sister Mary Jane Williams; her cousin James F. Butler III; and her stepchildren, Marvette Moore and Tyrone Dunlap.
Viewing will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul United Methodist Church (2400 Dellabrook Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27105). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
