She was predeceased by: her parents, Gladys Gilbert and George Gilbert; her husband John David Wooten; and her siblings, Ed Gilbert, Rose Hicks and Dean Fulton.
She is survived by: her sons, Reverend David Wooten (Mary) of Linwood, NC, Stephen Wooten (Diane) of Winston-Salem, Daniel Wooten (Stacy) of Winston-Salem, Reverend Timothy Wooten (Bonnie) of Matthews, NC and Philip Wooten (Nakiea) of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, John Wooten (Martha), Mikell Wooten (Courtney), James Wooten (Brooke), Thomas Wooten, Adam Wooten (Amber), Anna Wooten (Brandon Carpenter), Grayson Wooten (Morgan), Cecilia Wooten, Jenna Kirkland (Matt) and Christina Wooten; her great grandchildren, Emma, Avery, Dakota, Jacob, Sara, Bryson, Maddie, Gavin, Ansley and Scottie Ann; and her close friends, David Lewis and Judy Cowen. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Forsyth Memorial Park (3771 Yadkinville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Robinhood Road Baptist Church (5422 Robinhood Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Forsyth Memorial Park (3771 Yadkinville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106).
