He was predeceased by: his father Roy Heath Funderburk; his sister Cindy Funderburk; and his son Melvin Brunt Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Ciesta Funderburk; his wife Rosa Funderburk; his siblings, Audrey, Sylvia, Regina Funderburk, Keith and Reginald Funderburk; and his grandchildren, Quinton Byers, Chevez and Chantika Brunt. He is also survived by in-laws, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
