He was predeceased by: his brothers, Barry Wayne Davis, Todd Eric Davis and Timothy Vance Davis. He is survived by: his significant other Sandy Kay Powell; his daughters, Michelle Whittaker (Chris), Susan Beckner (John) and Stephanie Surratt (Joel); his brother Billy Davis (Pam); and his grandchildren, Chris Whittaker, Kaitlyn Whittaker, Kristian Whittaker, Zachary Dobbins and Sydney Surratt. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
