She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Weldon Shumate and Jettie Susan Taylor Shumate; and her siblings, Robert Shumate, Aubrey Shumate, Kenneth Shumate and Joselyn Mathis.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Lee Osborne; her children, Michael Osborne (Teresha) of Statesville, NC and Pamela Joyce of Winston-Salem; her brothers, Wayne Shumate (Irene) of Walkertown and Roger Lee Shumate (Elizabeth) of Archdale; her grandchildren, Weston Joyce and Karissa Joyce; and her great grandchildren, Chase Slater, Hazel Joyce, Hunter Joyce and Holden Fleming.
