It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Samuel Maurice Parnell of Winston Salem, North Carolina, born in Timmonsville, South Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Kesler Parnell and Theodosia Moseley Parnell; his wife Lena Mae Glass Parnell (Cherry); and his brother Charles of Lamar, S. C. He is survived by: his children, Michael (Shannon) of Albuquerque, N. M. and Patricia Ann Hall (Steve) of Spartanburg, S. C.; his grandson Pierce Hall of Asheville, N. C.; and his brothers, Leslie Parnell of Raleigh, N. C. and James Parnell (Frances) of Wilmington, N. C.. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
