She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Blackmon Sr. and Minnie Bell Ford; her husband Ralph Ogburn; her daughter Valencia Banner; her siblings, Sadie (Sherwood), Earl (Ella) and Lee (Mary); and her son-in-law Willie Johnson Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Gilbert Young, Rasheed Mohammad "Mario Young", Roderic Young (Sandra), Viveca Johnson and Michellyne Stewart; and her siblings, Margaret, Selena, Ava, Colleen and Tony. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Silas Creek Chapel - Hayworth-Miller Funeral Homes & Crematory (3315 Silas Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27103).
