With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roosevelt Hope (Winston Salem, North Carolina), born in Charlotte, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2024 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland, Sr. Hope and Bunice Jones Hope; his siblings, Vivian Hope and Roland Hope, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Donnell Taylor.
He is survived by: his friend Spike; his children, Yolanda Hardge (Mark) of High Point, NC, Orlando Hope of Winston-Salem, NC, Benita McIver of Fuqua-Varina, NC and Wanda Dowe of Rural Hall, NC; and his siblings, Angela Taylor of High Point, NC, Nancy Cuthrell of High Point, NC, Donald Hope (Lisa) and James Hope (Lottie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
