It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronda Carter of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Ronald Lee Messick. She is survived by: her mother Karlene Bristow Messick; her son Lowell Bumgardner (Claire Gilchrist); her sisters, Teresa Messick and Sara Messick McGarvey (Doug Austin); and her niece Natalie Shoemaker (Ronnie).

She also created a non-profit charity, "A Closer Look", to provide self-care and wellness bags to women fighting breast cancer, as well as the homeless.
