He was predeceased by: his parents, Maggie Williams and Howard Thomas; and his daughter Katrina Mickens (Howard Thomas, Jr.). He is survived by: his daughters, Barbara Mickens and Carolyn Coley; his sister Alice Thomas; his niece Lisa Thomas; and his friend Carolyn Goodwin. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church (1212 N Dunleith Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
