He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Hege and Beatrice Hege; his wife Toni S. Hege; his stepdaughter Lori B. Moeller; and his half-siblings, Wade Keeton, Wiley E. Hege, Jr. and Edith Lehman.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Kenneth Bullard (Liz) of Winston-Salem and Seina Johnson (Bill) of Winston-Salem; and his brother George Hege. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
