It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Dean Hartley (Winston Salem, North Carolina), born in Collettsville, North Carolina, who passed away on October 31, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Frank Hartley and Alma Elizabeth Greene Hartley; his wife Janet Lee Dale (Jan); his son Richard Dean Hartley, Jr.; and his siblings, Jim, Jesse, Johnny Hartley, Juanita Penley and Katherine McCarley.
He is survived by: his sons, Brad Hartley (Lori) of Fort Mill, SC and Josh Hartley (Laura) of Winston-Salem; his siblings, Jay Hartley (Rosa), Jerry Hartley, Libby Studebaker, Clara Greene, Jean Sines and Mildred Young; his grandchildren, Tyler Watkins, Lexi Reed (Jake), Jackson Hartley, Lila Hartley and Everly Hartley; and his great grandchildren, Easton Watkins, Luke Watkins and Wyatt Reed. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
