He was predeceased by: his parents, Artrue Holland and Ralph Cary Estes; and his sister Ruth Estes Trager. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Stroud Estes (Becky); his daughters, Susanne Estes Saad (John) and Elisabeth Estes Lovett (Peter); and his grandchildren, Hannah of Winston-Salem, Davis of Winston-Salem, Drew Saad of Winston-Salem, Caroline of Winston-Salem and Will Lovett of Winston-Salem.
