It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Retha Steed of Winston Salem, North Carolina, born in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stella Holloway and Leonard Holloway; and her siblings, Marie, Daughn, Doris, Mildred and Eldon Holloway.
She is survived by: her children, Sandy Griffin (Perry) of Winston-Salem, NC and Tracy Steed (Kristin) of Liberty Hill, TX; her sister Marilyn Short; her grandchildren, Whitney Harris (Ben), Ashley Torres (Matt), Austin Steed and Mackenzie Foster (Kalub); and her great grandchildren, Molly Branch, Hank Harris, Baker Torres, Banks Torres and Kolbie Foster.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Cornerstone Baptist Church (4507 Thomasville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
