He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Annie Cooke Rich and Renus Edgar Rich, Sr.; his daughter-in-law Mary Lee Rich of Garner, NC; and his siblings, Mary V Huffman of Winston-Salem, NC, James Rich of Cheltenham, MD and Ruth Blanton of Monroe, NC.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Elaine Walley of Winston-Salem, NC, Donna Rich (Sarah) of Raleigh, NC, Howard Rich (June) of Colfax, NC and Kenneth Rich of Garner, NC.; his grandchildren, Mark Walley, Tyler Walley of Winston-Salem, NC, Michael Rich (Jessica Askey) of Honolulu, HI, Jenna Walley (Philip Saur) of Hendersonville, NC and Kelly Rich of Hale'iwa, HI.; his great grandchildren, Sydney, Grayson Walley and Leo Saur; his stepgrandson Seth Hanner (Cali); his stepgreat-granddaughters, McAlister, Anna Charles and Hazel Hanner; his brother-in-law Hugh C. Grove of Baltimore, MD; and also Renus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
