It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pollye Graves Bailey (Winston Salem, North Carolina), born in Mebane, North Carolina, who passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Goley Graves and Gertrude Graves; her husband Beaufort Bailey; her sons, Jan Bailey and Jay Bailey; and her siblings, Plantiff Williamson (J. C.), Gertrude Morgan (P. A.), Jeune Paylor (Floyd), Montese Packenhorn (Francis), Armdella Graves, Dempsey Graves (Elnora), Cletus Graves (Mary) and Harold Graves (Sylvia).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. L'Tanya Joy Bailey, Eugene Orell Bailey, Goley Jock Bailey (Beverly) and Nikita Joel Bailey (Valerie). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
