Nancy Whitman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Whitman of Winston Salem, North Carolina, who passed away on December 28, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father James A. Bowden, Sr.; and her siblings, James Bowden, Jr. (Jake) and Phyllis Whisenhunt. She is survived by: her husband Earnest Ray Whitman (Ernie); her daughters, Lisa Lane (Jery) and Jill Ray; her grandchildren, Kara Lane, Kaylee Grimes (Matthew), Taylor Ray (Natalie) and Cady Ray; her great grandchildren, Sutton Ray and Emery Grimes; and her pet Ellie. She is also survived by sister-in-law, nephew, niece, great-nephews and great-nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Friendship Baptist Church, 4258 Old Lexington Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 and Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
