She was predeceased by: her parents, Doc Fowler and Vernie Mercer Fowler; and her husband Dale Gordon Cox. She is survived by: her children, Andre R. Bass of Winston-Salem and Angela Jones of Winston-Salem; her stepdaughters, Anne Rinier (Guy) of Stuart and Karen Lawrence of Winston-Salem; her grandchildren, Matthew Jones, Audra Bass, Miranda Kempton, Kaisa Rinier, Armand Griffith Bass, Douglas Rinier and Amelia Ruth Bass; and her great grandchildren, Owen Jones, Kaitlyn Reece and Corbin Reber.
