She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Lowe, Sr. and Hilda Lowe; her brother Victor Gary Lowe, Sr.; her nephew Victor Gary Lowe, Jr.; her niece Loretta Lowe; and her godmother Doris Dudley.

She is survived by: her husband Thurmond Werts; her children, Dominique Werts, Danielle Werts and Ta-Tanisha Werts; her grandchildren, GeJuan Werts, Tarik Morris and YaMonica Morris; her siblings, Howard Lowe, Jr., Miles Lowe and Josetta Timberlake; her siblings-in-law, Toni Lowe Graves, Mae Robinson, Hattie Mae Werts and Bobby Clark; her great-aunts, Shirley Dodd and Mae Francis Jones; her great-uncle Armentis Lowe; and her children, Jessica Johnson and Preston Keyes. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
