He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Millard Pendry and Irene Mae Corn Pendry; his wife Jacqueline "Jackie" Anne Craven Pendry; his brother Ronnie Pendry; and his sisters-in-law, Kate and Louise Pendry.
He is survived by: his children, Tamra "Tammy" Smith (Alan), Candace Varner and Monty Pendry (Kim); his grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Andrew Curtis), Allison Smith, Andrea Smith, Dylan Varner, Landon Varner (Alexis), Jacob Pendry, Carson Varner, Hannah Pendry and Brayden Varner; his great grandchildren, Ava Smith Curtis and March; and his brothers, Mahlon Pendry and Gene Pendry (Susie).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Monroe's honor to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
