He was predeceased by: his grandmother Minnie Lee Simons; and his uncles, Carl Shepherd and Waddell Shepherd. He is survived by: his parents, Michael Ray Shepherd and Shirley Jean Shepherd; his children, Michael VeShaun Shepherd, Jr. and Micah Elize Shepherd; his siblings, Sarah D. Jackson, Donna A. Roseboro and Dion L. Shepherd; his nieces, Chontel C. Holman, Jordan N. Jackson and Christian L. Roseboro; his nephew Cory L. Roseboro; his great-nieces, Trinity N. Holman and Cianna L. Palacios; his great-nephew Dallas L. Mickel; and his close friends, David Cathcart and Dwoine Phillips. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Viewing will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Russell Funeral Home Chapel (822 Carl Russell Ave, Winston-Salem, NC 27101). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
