He was predeceased by: his father Michael Hill Cumbie; his brother James Lee Cumbie; and his brother-in-law Luther "Junior" Vernon Apperson. He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah-Anne Mikles (Tim) and Laura Woods (Gary); his grandchildren, Rachel Woods, Bethany Woods and Leon Mikles; his great grandchildren, Emma, Jarvis and Marcus; and his sister Betty Cumbie Apperson. He is also survived by several nephews and a niece.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, or Trellis Supportive Care.
