She was predeceased by: her father Gary Stephen Pinkston. She is survived by: her mother Susan Smith Pinkston; her sister Kathleen Capshaw (Leigh Capshaw) of Crozet, VA; her aunt Roma Welch (Benny) of Winston-Salem; her nephew Matthew Capshaw; her niece Sarah Capshaw; her friend Eddie Parks of Winston-Salem; and her pet Toby. She is also survived by dog); and a loving extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Meredith's name may be directed to an animal charity of one's choice.
