He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey Terri Gabriel; his parents, James Sylvester Gabriel, Sr. and Katherine Adams Gabriel; his son Steven "Stevie" Harvey; and his brothers, Arthur Lee Williams and Bernard Adams.
He is survived by: his sons, Leonard Denard Gabriel and James Gabriel; his grandchildren, Chloe and Quiana Jones; his great grandchildren, Bryant "Deuce" Gaddy II, Carter Henry, Kaison Watlington and Jaxon Watlington; and his siblings, James Sylvester Gabriel, Jr., Willie Gabriel of Pfafftown, NC, Tyrone Gabriel of Garland, TX and Kathy Farrish (Herbert) of Raleigh, NC..
