She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Weston C. Reed and Mellie Parker Reed; and her brother Weston Olin Reed of Kinston. She is survived by: her husband Charlie Mason; her sister Marcella Reed Huguelet of Sylva; her children, Donna Mason Harwood (Bill) of Charlotte and Steven Mason (Martha) of Raleigh; her grandsons, Parker Mason and Sam Mason (Laura Skinner Mason); and her stepgrandsons, John Harwood and David Harwood. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
