She is survived by: her son Blain Byerly Butner (Peg) of Arlington, VA; her granddaughter Sarah Thiel Butner (Brett Carpenter) of Frederick, MD; her nieces, Makayla Carmichael, Katharine Chipman of Winston-Salem, Charlotte Strom (Erik) of Greensboro, Morgan Hinkle (Tom Holmgren) of San Diego, CA and Tanya Bruzek (Dan) of Denver, NC; her nephew Michael Hinkle (Michelle) of Cary, NC; her sisters-in-law, Rita R. Hinkle of Mooresville, NC and Ann Butner Chipman of Winston-Salem; and her stepchildren, Bryant Covington (Dorothy), Kaye Foland (Ray) of Cary, NC and Janice Schiller (Joe) of Easton, PA. She is also survived by numerous cousins, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
