It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mark Shane Underwood of Winston Salem, North Carolina, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on November 26, 2022, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Donald Clifton; his half-sister Frances Ross (Joe); his brother Donald Underwood (Susie); and his half-brother Raleigh Haynes. He is survived by: his wife Mary Claudette Ring Underwood; his daughter Jessica Elizabeth Underwood; his stepson Scott Alderman (Sharon); and his siblings, Sheila Underwood Kendrick (Bobby), Alan Underwood (Brenda) and Douglas Underwood (Andrea). He is also survived by five step grandchildren; four step great grandchildren.
