It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie Schultz Henry Leister (Winston Salem, North Carolina), born in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on November 4, 2020, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto C. Schultz and Alma Breternitz; her former husband William Henry (Bill); her husband Donald Leister; her sisters, Ema Schultz, Irene Allison, Muriel Beaver and Violet Falletti; her nephew Paul Allison; her great grandchildren, Kayla Nicole Raulerson and Abigail Marie Raulerson; and her stepson John Leister of Westminster, MD.

She is survived by: her daughters, Judith Palmer (Robert) of Portland, OR and Mary Salling (John Watson) of Winston-Salem, NC; her stepchildren, Sharon Leister of Fort Meyers, FL and Jeff Leister; her nephew Barry Pelham (Terrie) of Matoon, IL; her grandchildren, David Salling (Melanie) of Winston-Salem, Deborah Salling (Mark) of Winston-Salem, Daniel Salling (Cathy) of Winston-Salem and Allison Palmer of New York City; her stepgranddaughters, Alison Kidwell (Shawn) of Westminster, MD and Joyce Davis (Matt) of Westminster, MD; her great grandchildren, Nicholas Salling, Cody Raulerson, Jacob Raulerson, Macy Salling and Megan Salling; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Ashlynn Kidwell, Gavin Kidwell, Ellie Davis and Jonathan Davis.

Her determination and positive attitude, even when she was contained in her room because of COVID, remains an inspiration to all who knew her.

Donations may be made to The Lutheran Church of the Epiphany, Hospice, or the Winston-Salem Rescue Mission.
