She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Thula Johnson Muse and John Harvey Muse; her sister Elise Muse Adams; her husband Major William Harry Shields; her former husband Bill Humbert; her sons, Bill Shields (Gwen) and Mike Shields (Marion); her grandchildren, Will Shields, Sarah Shields (DeEtta Famiano), Michael Shields, Meredith Shields and Thomas Shields; her great grandchild Matthew Shields; and her goddaughter Linda Hastings. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and stepchildren.
